I have eating that BWW too many times and decided to try to make it at home.

Here is my homemade recipe.

Now it is not exactly like them but they are still very good and easy to make.

Takes 5 minuts of prep time and 1 hour to cook at 350 degrees.

Ingrediants.

2 packages of uncooked wings.
1 teaspoon of cayon pepper (less hot exclude cayon pepper) and add a little suger.
1 teaspoon of ground pepper (less hot exclude ground pepper)
1 teaspoon of garlic powder
2 teaspoons of worchestire sauce
2 Cups of Franks Red Hot
2/3 cup of oil (want less oily cut back a tad)

Mix together for a 30 seconds or until combined
Place wings in banking pans with edges I use Pyrex but can use anything that will fit. I and up using two.
Lightly tap cayon pepper and garlic on the wings just enough to see it.
Put a two teaspoons of butter in each pan on top of wings with a little oil to coat
Place in oven for one hour at 350 degrees assuming thawed out.
After the one hour hits turn on the broiler for 4-5 minutes to get them crisp, 475 to 500 degrees
Heat up the Buffalo mixture in microwave for 1 minute.
Take wings out and cover with Buffalo sauce and enjoy.
You get about 40 wings and they will take awesome!!!

Nothing is homemade at a large chain restaurant. The mango habenaro sauce, like all their others, is bought from a supplier like Sysco or similar.

If fact, personally, I think their wings are kind of nasty in a cafeteria sort of way. They taste highly processed and the sauces are very processed as well. Not even in my top 10 choices when I want wings, and certainly NOT homemade with any sort of fresh ingredients

However, the recipe in this thread looks good, I might have to try it.

Good thing no one is forcing you to eat them then, I suppose.

I believe that the "homemade" designation in the title is referring to the OP's recipe, not BWW's. I like the restaurant. I think their wraps are way good, and the buffalitos. I even like their wings, despite not being a wings type of person. Also, it is one of the few places where most of their sauces are gluten free, which my wife and I now require.

I love chicken wings and BWW is very low on my list of places to get them.

Luckily no one is forcing me to eat there! Phew! close one.

Now for a more helpful post.

Very easy to make wings. Baking is simple and they come out falling off the bone.
I bake plain wings at 400. If they are frozen it takes almost exactly 2hrs. If not frozen 90 minutes or so. You have to move them around in the baking dish a few times to get uniformly done. At this point they are fully baked and caramelized. This is where I will add sauce or dry rub and bake for a few more minutes. You can also take them to the grill and put sauce on etc. A very simple but delicious wing is one that is baked and then grilled w/ season salt. Very easy.
Everyones oven is different so check them from time to time.

Yeah, that's a GOOD thing. Apparently some people can express their opinion and others aren't allowed to without some sort of snarky comment.

Thank God this is a free country, or else I might be hanged for such malevolent comment.

POlkrt, thanks for sharing your homemade sauce recipe.

These are the shares that, to me, make this much more than just an audio website.

I hope to share a couple more of mine soon, love the homemade food in fall and winter, shared with loved ones, watching the big game, movies, or listenin to tunes.

I like BWW and their sauces, but some of the local places around here are good too.. Pluckers, which is a Central Texas wing place is good as is Buffalo Wings and Rings, in fact i think Buffalo Wings and Rings is awsome in the they really toss them in a sauce and bring them out to you completely smothered., unlike BWW which sometimes has a tendency to sometimes come out greatly lacking in the sauce dept. but who cares if someone else doesn't like it, as long as you do it doesn't matter. I'm not a huge fan of Hooters wings myself, mostly b/c of the lacking of flavors, but if you like them more power to ya ..

I tried Pizza Hut wings one day, for me they were pretty good considering they are known for there Pan Pizza. When I am on the road if I can't find a BWW then I hit Pizza Hut, most of the time they are pretty good and on Wednedays they were 50 cent a wing.

Me too. Last year there was a show on CMT called Top Secret Recipe. The hosts name was Todd Wilber I believe. Anywho, I tried a few of his recipes myself...some with luck, some not.
