found loose port in rear avr

I use a lot of the inputs and outs of my Yamamha rx-v665 because as most know I have a load of sources and some are shared w/ the 2-chl system. I use optical 1 which equates to av-1 on the avr for my Sony 5-disc and this is
the port that is loose. The second optical which equates to av-4 is used to p/u audio off the tv.Now the first optical is so loose if I look at it the cable could dislodge and I know I probably caused this by not putting it in correctly.
I already tried the different ends and no dice it's the port that is mishapened.I somewhat resolved it just by taping the
cable to another w/ a little slack and this works ok w/ no ill effects.So besides sending the thing out which I can't
afford is there any other recourse?
Just so some might not understand all my source devices have both either HDMI or optical outs to my Yamaha and
analog outs that go into my Onkyo pre for my 2-chl and this works for me as all my stuff is in 1 rm and stacked.
