Doc et al.,
Will setting the 20-39 PC+ to 25Hz (instead of 20Hz like I have it now) enable the sub to perform identical to the 25-31 PC+ set to 25Hz (with all ports open in both cases)?

Are you setting a SS filter to 25 Hz? In this case they will not perform identically because they still are tuned differently and the box volumes are different.Graham

Ditto. Not quite the same. Why? Did you bottom it out?"What we do in life echoes in eternity"

No, I didn't bottom it out. In fact, I didn't even make the change yet. I was just curious about how much difference there would be in setting it to 25Hz instead of 20Hz.Mains: polkaudio RTi70's (bi-wired)

Just less extension, that's all. The SS filter will kick in around 22 Hz instead of 18 Hz.
You will be able to push it a little louder with less potential for bottoming."What we do in life echoes in eternity"
