Question on the 20-39 PC+

Doc et al.,

Will setting the 20-39 PC+ to 25Hz (instead of 20Hz like I have it now) enable the sub to perform identical to the 25-31 PC+ set to 25Hz (with all ports open in both cases)?
Mains: polkaudio RTi70's (bi-wired)
Center: polkaudio CSi40 (bi-wired)
Surrounds: polkaudio FXi30's
Rear Center: polkaudio CSi30
Sub: SVS 20-39 PC+
Receiver: ONKYO TX-SR600
Display: JVC HD-56G786
DVD Player: SONY DVP-CX985V
DVD Player: OPPO DV-981HD 1080p High Definition Up-Converting Universal DVD Player with HDMI
Remote: Logitech Harmony H688

    Are you setting a SS filter to 25 Hz? In this case they will not perform identically because they still are tuned differently and the box volumes are different.

    No, I didn't bottom it out. In fact, I didn't even make the change yet. I was just curious about how much difference there would be in setting it to 25Hz instead of 20Hz.

    Just less extension, that's all. The SS filter will kick in around 22 Hz instead of 18 Hz.

    You will be able to push it a little louder with less potential for bottoming.
