Mark was kind enough to send me and the wife a shirt last winter. I go to this one Audio Store near us when I need some more discwasher fluid, and like wearing the Polk shirts there, I always ask the salesman why dont you carry Polks, he shrugs and says the boss chose Klipsch, Maggies and Focals, but always says if it were up to him they would carry Polks. That Marks a good guy and treats us polkies right:smile:

    Dudes and Duedets,

Mark is the man. Very generous, and always looking out for us polkies be it keeping us from potential scam artist, keeping the chaos of demos and what not in a working order or when we are in a dire situation. He goes beyond what an employee is and is the true epitome of what it is to be a polkie. Now give this man a raise or a promotion!

Guys, all I've done since getting in tight with Polk is to think about how to make sure we get our dues. We put ourselves out there every day, get bashed on other forums and especially me since I'm a rep....I get trashed privately all the time for no or sometimes valid reasons. I candidly told Al Ballard(KAB) years ago that Polk needs to start paying more attention to its forum and members after attending Russmans' Polkfest in TX way back in the day.....2003? Not sure, but if there was anyone that seriously took US....CLUB POLK FORUM to task and put us on a pedastal, it was Al Ballard(KAB). He's the main reason we get or got what we got for demos, freebies to invigorate Polk fanaticism or just be nice to those that give so much here. He will be sorely missed by everyone here that got to know him and I'm glad he's a close friend offline. Now I can actually rag on him and not fear for my job.

Do you have ANY idea how much impact YOU FOLKS have had on product development?!! How much YOU FOLKS have helped design and push Polk to new products. I know....and you should be proud. The fact they allow me to run CAF every year is just awesome. This company owes me nothing and I owe them everything for keeping me so motivated to stay so involved in this hobby. You guys are seriously part of the reason that they continue to push the envelope, stay current and are one of the last big companies to not turn tail and turn into a shell of a company. This place is bigger, product wise and more current than its been in over a decade.

I'm just the guy who bothers them constantly for goodies, wether it be pencils, bags, useless weird screwdrivers from 2007 or lately tshirts. There's no point in me hoarding 100 tshirts in a closet and rolling around naked in them before I ship them to members. That's obviously never happened but the point is I think we owe Polk, not me, a debt of gratitude since they didn't have to send me anything. I just pass along the goodwill and if you want another Polk employee to give a shout out to? Shelia Edwards.....she was one of the tour guides on the POLKFEST 2012 HQ shindig and we are super special email buddies but almost never get to see one another. She does all this for you folks as well since she's the ordering individual and the one who helps me hand in hand.

Nothing happens here or for you guys without the help of others at HQ that often go unnoticed for the most part. I'm honored to be a part of this chain and if a tshirt makes you guys happy, so be it.... just remember that and make sure you bring back something to the forum, pass on some knowledge, wisdom or erroneous weird recipe for some strange chicken dish, whatever.

    Regards,
    Mark

You now what's silly but factual is that the CTC BBQ amp is in my living will to go to my finest broham, amongst many others....Russman.....so you'll have to fight him for it after I'm gone.

Should never have said that Mark. It only ensures both of you take a dirt nap on the same day.

For some reason that excites me and horrifies me at the same time. Thank you for the next couple nights worth of difficulty managing my medication.

Knowing Russ, now you and I we'll all die at the same time, and it will null and void everything....sending it into my wife's hands who will look at it, determine its too heavy and throw it in the trash. Another audio moment lost in time by poor planning.....it's almost ready for a Garfield cartoon strip sweep.

I just got home from two days in beautiful Aliso Viejo, and my shirt had arrived. It's very nice. I was expecting a T shirt, but it's a Polo shirt. Thanks. I will wear it to work. Once I wash it.
