DSWPro440wi floor placement

I'm trying to decide which placement would be best for this sub.

1. Directly on the carpeted floor, or
2. Place an 18x18 porcelain floor tile on the carpet and sub on top of that

I'm going to have the sub firing downward (driver and port are on the same side).

Thanks,

John

I've got my 660wi on carpet with 2.5 inch high Adona spikes as the stock spikes left the sub too close to the carpet, which muffled the sound.

I think the issue with placing it on a piece of tile over carpet is that leaves the sub floating, so to speak.

Thanks Jesse! I'll play around with it's placement and height on the carpet and will avoid the floor tile option.

John, another option would be to use a spiked platform.

I managed to get everything connected and running. The rubber feet that are provided with the sub seem to be doing the trick. Lots of solid punchy bass that blends pretty well with the Monitor 30's (after playing with the filter settings a bit). It's a rockin computer rig for sure!

I have the same subwoofer DSWPRO 440 wi, and I was wondering how you hooked it up. Did you just use the RCA cable and plug it in or did you go a different route. I only ask becuase I have been questiong if I have been able to use my full wattage listed on the specs.
