Barring the fact that these are, IMO, the greatest adventure movies of all time, you should all go out and get the DVD set. I have the widescreen set and I have to say that this an incredible DVD set. The sound is so clear, accurate and full that mere words cannot describe it! The picture clarity is first rate and I can see no graininess whatsoever. Aside from a couple of skips that I think are the fault of my DVD player and not the disc, these DVD's are immaculate in thier production.

If you are a fan of Indiana Jones then I highly recommend picking this set up. You can get it at WAL*MART for less than 60 dollars. It's worth every penny and it will defintly give your HT system a work-out!

Picked this up the day it was released. Agreed. Paramount did a great job on this set. HIGHLY recommended.

Same here, already bought it....I second the comment for best action/adventure series.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

I too looked forward to this release.
    I'm dissapointed in the Audio.

I watched "Raiders of the Lost Ark" last night. The center channel dialoge was barely audible over the ambient action noise. I watched "The Last Crusade" and the same thing. I watched "Lord of the Rings" to make sure it wasn't my system
    It wasn't.
Considering that Lucas has made his fame and fortune (several bilions) touting his superior sound expertise, I expected more....much more.

I'll have to admit that for some THX releases, audio and/or video quality didn't meet my expectations, but I thought ROTLA was done well, again considering the age of the film. But with other THX-graded DVD's of the same/similar age, the A/V quality just didn't seem to be there (let's say a lot worse than ROTLA, IMO). I'll check my collection for examples.

They should release them seperately. The first one is the
only one I care to own. It's a ripoff to make a person
buy them all just like the Godfather set.

Looking forward to this one as well (and yes, one of the best action/adventures out there [at least the 1st one]). Suprised to read the comments on the sound. Lucas just doesn't seem to get anything 100% right (either something with the picture or the sound).

Either way, I'm still looking forward to it. It will be the first time seeing it widescreen since it came out.
