Loose Broken Part in DVD-2910

Hi All; I found this inside a used 2910 I bought. The player seems to work fine. I looked from where it might have come but can not find the location. It looks like it is off the cd drive. The pics are not that good but hopefully good enough for someone to figure this out. Thanks for any help!:sad:

Looks like part of the DVD tray assembly.

That's what I thought. Both ends of the tray are intact. No broken off corners.

Maybe it happened in shipping. Does the unit perform as it should - sonically and otherwise?
