My Balanced Audio Technology amp (which to be fair to BAT I got used) sounded a little unbalanced to the left side. It took me a few weeks to figure that out as it is slight, but once I got my system tuned in, it was bothering me. I shot off an email to BAT with the issue, and Victor (one of the two partners of BAT) emailed me back with how to make adjustments to the amp as I had expressed that interest originally. He walked me through the steps in detail with appropriate warnings, and I'm happy to say my BAT amp is almost back to perfect! I have a little more tuning to do as it's not easy getting it perfect balanced using an SPL meter, but going very slow on the adjustments is important.

Props on the excellent customer service BAT and supporting your products for their life! I'm be a customer for life!

Victor was also very good when I contacted him about getting remote control function for my preamp. Instead of having to send it in to him, he advised me on how to upgrade the control chip. He sent me the chip for less than 1/2 of the price he normally charges. He also sent me the schematics for the preamp.
For rig details, see my profile. Nothing here anymore...

My brother has Ted's old BAT VK-60 tube mono's and one developed a cold solder joint and Victor helped him diagnose it over the phone. Spent about 40 minutes walking my brother (who is not really mechanically inclined) through it. Then my brother had a friend who is versed on electronics come over and resolder the area. Works like a charm.

    BAT has exceptional CS.

Sounds like a good company and gives me comfort if I get funds to buy a BAT VK-6200 5-Channel amp for my anthem D2

Thanks for posting. Hardly any companies do this anymore. OK, NO big companies do this and most of the boutique mfrs wont either. I will be sure to give extra consideration to BAT equipment just for this reason!

And the great thing is, the sound quality of my BAT amp is as good as their customer service!

Nice of him to tell you how to adjust the balance of the outputs. But it would be much easier to get a perfect match with a multi-meter, instead of an SPL meter.

Some of the scariest systems I have ever heard came from B.A.T. electronics. If I made a top ten list of 2 channel electronic companies B.A.T. would be on it.
