Ok you probably don't know this  but I broke a binding post on my Emotiva amp  a while back and I was thinking maybe I could replace the part myself and sell it. Has anyone done work like this before?

Is there better quality parts I can use to replace all my binding posts? The amp is an Emotiva UPA5

Vampire or WBT posts would be an improvement.

As far as replacing the posts, let's see an inside picture.

I still debating whether to open it up and just reaching out for general info. If my friend wants to buy it I will open it and snap some pics

I really want to replace the anthem mca5 posts too so that does not have a warranty so I will get my screw driver for that

Kiss the warranty (if it's still even active??) good-bye if you do that. I doubt Emo condones modding anything of their amps. I could be wrong though.

It's tough to justify the cost of WBT/Vampire premium posts for a $500 amp and their inexpensive posts are no better than anyone else's. An alternative is the speaker post made by Superior Electric. They are reasonable and if they are good enough to go on a Parasound JC-1, I suspect they are good enough for the UPA-5.

I believe these are the ones:

Still not cheap at $23 a pop...

Have you given any thought to calling emotiva and have them send you a post? Makes sense to have them all the same unless you plan on spending 75% of what the amp cost in binding post that may or may not be a good fit.

Emotiva said they could send me some out and I could fit it myself but they dont have them in stock so I should just send it in and they would replace all of them. I am now selling the amp so if some one buys it. I can always use the money they pay me for shipping to send it to emo and have emo send to the buyer that has been registered as the new owner

If I fix it myself then I dont have to go through all the crap

Just how are they gonna fix it if they don't have the parts ? Should have asked them that.

tell them it's cheaper to get you the post than to send in a 70lbs+ amp to and fro and the risk of damage...

I did ask them and they said that they are going to put new binding posts on every terminal. I thought it was silly too that I had to burn all that paper to send it in, thats why its still sitting here boxed up

"We don't currently have any post to send you, so just send the entire amp to us and we'll fix it"

What? That doesn't make any sense...
