When I turned on my 545ii the drivers on the speakers extend out and then sucked in.

What could the problem be?

Thanks

Do they return to normal after that, or do they stay extended out or sucked in?

Dont know for sure but power to the drivers was my first thought. I'd unhook the speakers and ck with a volt meter if u have one!

One of my KRK RP6 G2 speakers has the woofer suck in a little and then slowly return to normal position every time I turn it on, but it's always done this so I just figured it was normal.

I took everything out of the chain and left just the amp hooked up to the speakers and it did it again powering on and off the drivers moving significantly.

I even hooked up another pair of speakers and the same thing happen.

How would I test to see if I am getting DC going to the speakers?

You need to buy or borrow a voltmeter. You will measure on a DC scale while connecting the probes to the positive and negative terminals. There should be no input connected to the amp. If the components are good and the bias is set it should read 15 millivolts DC or less.

Does this in and out motion happen really quick, under a second, or is it a slower progression?

I'd have a professional check this out. I believe some Adcoms have no relay protection circuitry so you might fry your speakers if you continue with this and there are spikes!

    Be careful!

Mine happens quickly, lasting for about a second after turn on. What does this mean?

If it is more than just a quick pop I would take it in for a check up

Yeah, it's broke. Take it to a professional because you can't fix it.

Dont have any intention on trying to fix it, I am handy but this is above my pay grade for sure

I spoke to my amp guy and he is going to take a look at it.

    Thanks
