Hey guys,
i have the opportunty for picking one of this turntables on excellent condition for 75 bucks. But sine i do not know a lot about them i am asking you guys in the forum if any of you have any experience (good or bad) with this turntable.
Things to look for, weak point, strenghts, etc. Most important how does it sound? Will it be an upgrade from my pio pl100 or more of a lateral move etc. I plan on using a denon dl110 cart with it.
Thanks for the input

as would I - perfectly decent albeit old-ish Technics turntable - if the condition is good overall (arm not distorted/bent, headshell alignment OK, and minimal play in the bearings) and it runs - it is well worth 75 smackers in the current market. The speed control pots might need to be cleaned if it runs but seems to "search" rather than hold speed. Not sure if this particular Technics develops such symptoms (but many of them do).
That's a fully automatic deck/changer - check to see whether it has both the single-disc and the multi-disc spindles.
You'll find a little info on this page http://www.vintagetechnics.co.uk/turntables.htm
I don't know the PL-100, sorry.
The Technics would be a good match for the DL-110 in terms of arm mass/system compliance.
