Check out www.guyfletcher.co.uk. Guy is apparently one of Mark Knopfler's crew and keeps a diary he posts about his travels on tour with Mark Knopfler, who is just starting his tour with Dylan, they are now in Canada and will be hitting the U.S. in a few days. When you go to his site, click on the diaries. There are current and past diaries. There is one that is really interesting called Recording Diary. He has lots of photos inside the recording studio(s), including a photo of an "amazing tube limiter made by Decca in the mid-60's." Cool perspective from the inside of a major artist tour.

It appears Guy Fletcher is one of Mark's musicians not crew. Looks like he has a pretty impressive pedigree.

Guy Fletcher is one if not the only guy left from the Dire Straits days. I have seen Mark Knopfler on the Get Lucky tour. Had front row seats and got to shake his hand, I was one happy camper. I seen him a couple of times and man, he sounds as good live as on the LP. I was going to to see him with his new LP but since he was with Bob Dylan and sharing the time on stage, decided to wait it out. If I was a huge Bob Dylan fan, I would be there. Guy Fletcher has been doing the dairy for years as far as I can remember. MK just keeps me going. Nothing better then throughing a clean LP on and listening to him or DS.

Bob, Mark, and Guy are a couple of blocks from my work place yesterday (concert at Bill Graham Civic Auditorium tonight)....very nice venue. Based upon Guy's diary, I think I know where he's staying at. Nice view indeed....especially when there's a lightning storm outside.
