What's the difference between the 12" subs in the sealed enclosure, both say MOMO with a arrow pointing to the right, but one says it in red and the other says it in yellow? Is there any difference?

the momos with the yellow arrows are the higher grade subs

circuit city and crutchfield have both types of subs
how many subs are you planning on getting and whats your budget?
you have to remember, the ones with the yellow arrows are going to need a bigger amp and bigger wire than the other ones(costing more)
for the momos with the yellow arrows(if you want 2):
$380 for a Rockford Fosgate bd1001(this is from www.acaraudio.com...this price is a STEAL for this amp...i doubt you can find an amp of this size for less unless its a crappy amp...i believe it comes with a 3 yr warranty too)
$100 for a 2awg wiring kit for the bd1001
$500 for the subs(crutchfield)
total $980
if you want 1:
$260 for a Rockford Fosgate 551S(www.acaraudio.com...another steal...i have 3 of these amps...except older models...never had a problem...3 yr warranty i believe)
$60 for a 4awg wiring kit
$250 for the sub(crutchfield)
total $570
momos with red and black logo(For 2 subs)
$370 for RF 801S(i think they have a typo on their site....it should be 800x1 at 2 ohms...www.acaraudio.com...same price as bd1001 which gives you 200 more watts...truthfully...unless you can find a similar amp for less...id get the 1001...turn the gain down...gives you a lot of head room to turn your gain down and your amp will last longer...and youre not paying a penny more)
$60 for a 4awg wiring kit
$280 for subs
total $710
for 1 sub
$220 for RF 451S
$50 for 8awg wiring kit
$140 for subs
total $410
all subs and amps listed have 3 yr warranties
hope that gives you a little more of an idea

one more thing...
for the bd1001 youre going to need a 1.0 stiffening capacitor...it helps your electrical system
thats an extra $120 or so
if you go with the single yellow arrow momo or the 2 red/black momos youll need a .5 cap
thats about $80
for the single red/black you wont need it

Damn guy, your the man when it comes to this stuff! I already have the yellow one in the factory box(I have both mm10 and mm12). I paid $179 for mm10 and $270 for mm12 yellow) but I saw the red one for $200 mm12. Since the yellow ones are better, I guess I will keep them. I have a RF 551s for the 12 and a 451s for the 10. Is the 451s a good choice for the 10 or should I go bigger?Testing

the 451S will run that sub fine although it is hard to get a 10 and a 12 to blend together well...if at all possible, get 2 12s or 2 10s
if you said that one is still in the box then maybe you could return it for a 10?
if thats possible thats what i would do
