7.1-5.1 Setup on odd room

im moving into a basement and my home theater area is odd anybody have any tips or setups to make it the best possible i can eather use 5.1 or 7.1

    I'm not quite sure where the problem is. Place the rears on the walls on the side(s) of the couch. If you opt for 7.1., place the rear surrounds on the back wall.

    i have no side walls the couch in next to a fire place and the other side is opened also my rear speakers are Wide Dispersion Array speakers
