I have completed the transfer of my Hi8 tapes onto my computer and no longer need the Sony GV-D800. I transferred about 25 tapes using the i link connection to my computer (IEEE 1394). It did a great job for the transfer. I bought it off the bay about a year ago. It comes with the player, battery (not sure about the life of this), power supply and the IEEE 1394 cable.
