My Goodwill find

Stopping in the local Goodwill just cause I was in the neighborhood, I bought a NAD 523 MultipleCDP.
I got it cheaper than the last Sony and this one sounds so much better than the Sony. The Sony was muddy and dull compared to this NAD unit. It's a 98 or 99 model and works great. I thought since they made great amps and all the hype here, I'd give them a shot. Glad I did.

Sounds like a nice score. I just never cared for the multidisc players.

Not all multi-disc players are junk. Go find a CAL CL-10 (or similar model) and get back to us.

And that NAD is actually petty good, too. Not in the same league with the CAL's (nor is the investment), but I've owned one and liked it. I have a Marantz multi-disc player that is a keeper, too.

Never said or implied they were junk. Just said i don't care for them. Just my personal preferance is all.

I have never found anything worth getting at the Goodwill, but I hear stories that people find stuff. I will need to make a point in stopping in more often.

I go infrequently to the Goodwill and Salvation Army stores but every time I have gone there was nothing but junk or it was overpriced... Just my luck.
I keep reading about these tag sale and thrift store finds but they really are few and far between. I think luck has more to do with it than anything else these days. People are pretty knowledgeable these days.
