Tube Source that you MUST consider

I thought I'd do a Shout Out to Andy Bowman at Vintage Tube Services

He is a wealth of knowledge and very helpful. Today he hand delivered to my home a pair of Tung Sol 6SN7 GTBs (I live on the other side of the state, in Mich, and he was in the area, . . but still) Also, he brought along a pair of RCA GTBs saying check'em out with no exchange of $$. . . Not knowing me from Adam . . cool guy. He claims 26 different quality tests prior to delivery of his tubes (twenty-six). This is too good to be true . . . I would say Very, Very straight-Up honest tube company to deal with.
btw, the Tung Sols sound Fan-Frickin-Tastic

You are right, the web site is not the easiest to navigate. You need to go into a couple of pages before you can view the inventory. I would call him, as I believe he prefers to do business via the 'ol fashion tel-E . . . . He mentioned an office that I don't believe was a garage o basement (actual storefront) but I can't be for certain. I have a feeling he's the real deal. Again, he left me $60+ worth of RCA tubes for me to "try out" without any deposite/collateral etc . . .

I have done business with Andy for many years. He likes to talk with his clientss by phone so he can understand your equipment and goals. Just got off the phone with Andy. Nice and knowledgable, honest person. On his NOS, he even offers a $ back or exchange for different ones since he understands not every tube will give someone the "sound" they want. He fully understands a tube might sound like X in one unit and sound like b in a different one.
