Okay, the suspense is killing me. What are your questions? If you can't hear a difference, don't waste your money.

Already bought an amp and ordered 2 new tweeters, thanks just the same.

Yeah, these guys can either be kind, or brutal oldrocker. I'm sure whatever you have on order will be great. Nobody, I mean nobody hears speakers the same. I know this. My hearing is really messed up from doing well over 3000 one night stands in a high profile Beatles Tribute band, not to mention the countless concerts I had to be either side of the stage or front row, so I don't hear things the same way some of the die hards here do, and you will find what works for you with those great speakers. Congrats and please don't let the lack of help in one of your first threads scare ya away. This is a great forum and some great folks here too. just got to find em!! Welcome you are!!"if it's not fun, it's not worth it & remember folks, "It's All About The Music"!!

Its all good tophatJ, this is my first set of sda's and still trying to figure them out. I only paid $50.00 for them, they were in a house fire, the grill covers have some melted spots, 6 dust covers need replaced and 2 tweeters don't seem to work. I'm running a sansui BA-2000 and they still sound damn good. I gotta lot of work to do on them as the guy I bought them from started to refinish the wood on them and did some sanding, so I gotta figure what kind of wood stain best matches the original wood look.
hewhew1, I bought a cerwin vega cv 2800 and a crown xls 2000. I just traded in my old 901's for a new set and I'll use one of these amps to run them. -

sounds like a fun project for sure. I am still not sure what the H I'm doing, but trying new things out. Make sure not to get to excited as there are some sharks on the forum that would eat your leg to sell you something, and smile all the while. I'm sure you'll smell them if they come too near. I had one on the phone!! So funny!!"if it's not fun, it's not worth it & remember folks, "It's All About The Music"!!

Right now it is fun but I'm sure I'll get to that point where it's not. Replacing the dust covers and tweeters seem ok, it's the side wood removel that seems a bit complicated. However, even though they were in a fire, the inner white foam shows no sign of damage. Hopefully once they are done they will be able to, as the late great sam kinnison said be able to produce music sound that "kicks me in the Fu****g teeth. Sam did have a way with words!
