After quickly setting this monster up, I popped in a DVD (Matrix Reloaded) and could instantly feel the power!!! My house was shaking, literally.

Tonight I am going to calibrate it. I've got a few DVD's I want to check out along with some CDs. It's gonna be a great weekend...

Thanks for all the advice. In just 10 minutes I could tell this was a worthwhile purchase.

Been bow hunting my fool head off. Scored a huge buck today. Haven't had much time for the forum. Trying to catch up before I hit the sack. 4:00 am comes early.

I TOLD you after 10 minutes you would wonder why you hadn't done it sooner! Congrats!

Henry - your twins have GOT to be monstrous in that smaller room?

I have seriously put to paper calcs showing the difference in room size. i have a lot of refinements. MY house vibrates beyond belief as compared to my last. Simply put i'm trying to cage an Elephant! Its cool that svs can rumble our homes at a quake level of 8:D

my ar dac is my absolute favorite as far as cash per unit but the svs makes HT. im ht first then audio but every cd i play the svs accents. by now I can't live with out it!

Congrats on the buck Doc. I love the outdoors myself...big into bass fishing. Unfortunately its getting too cold quickly.

The sub really sounds great. I ran out and bought an SPL meter and started the process. I'm still not sure where to set my sub level.

Going to check out other posts...may be back with some more questions.

btw...my wife is really concerned this new sub is going to break my 125 gallon fish tank. LOL

Congrats, sully. Enjoy! I picked up my PC+ in mid-August and it continues to amaze me; and I expect it will for as long as I own it.

    Guys,

You really steered me right. I watched a few movies this weekend. I was blown away, my wife too. She kept looking at me with that worried look, like...'is the house going to be okay?'

It was really amazing. Such power, such effects. There are a few items in my basement I'm going to need to fasten down better.

Music was perfect. The bass was not overpowering but rather blended in just right. Cool stuff.

Time to go listen some more.

    thanks again!

Congrats Sully, make sure you get a daily dose of bass medicine, it is better than any multi-vitamin.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

AAHHHHHH! The potential for at least minor structural damage has arrived. I love it.

I'm sure you all can imagine, The Matrix Reloaded has some amazing bass. But one that might surprise you is Finding Nemo. Okay, I'm too old to be talking about Finding Nemo, but let me tell you there are two scenes in particular that are incredible.

The scene where the underwater mines start exploding and the scene where the little obnoxious girl taps her finger against the fishtank are really spectacular.

Another notable scene is the one with the whale. If you have the movie...and an SVS, check it out.
