Great sub at a low price

Just pulled the trigger on a Hsu Research STF-2. I got it for $319, which is $30 less than the regular price of $349. I am extremely pleased with it. I never heard a speaker sound so good right out of the box!! At first, I was a little concerned that it wouldn't be able to provide a lot of pop, considering it has a 10 inch driver and an amp rated at only 200 watts. Boy was I wrong!! I played the Iron Man and The Avengers dvd's, and I could feel the bass in my chest!! (The sub's volume control was set just a tab past the twelve o'clock position.) I also listened to a lot of music, ranging from rock to smooth jazz. The STF-2 was tight and very musical, not a buzz box like some subs are. If you're looking for a great sub at a very low price, IMHO, the STF-2 is very much worth considering. BTW, I owned a Polk Audio PSW 505, and the STF-2 beat it hands down for musicality and pure gut-pounding bass.

I bought a Velodyne 18" sub for $300.00. Works like a top. I laughed all the way to the bank and back (paid him cash). I think I laughed most of the way home as well.
