SDA IC Quality congruent to speaker wires?

I wonder if anyone has tried different grades of SDA IC cable medium as a way to tweak the signal being passed, in a purposeful manner. I know some cables add color or tone, mainly bass response in most cases it seems. I wonder what kind of dimensional movements or spacial tweaks that could be made by using different types of medium for the IC once a quality set of cables is in place for main speaker terminals.

You have swapped them while also swapping the main cables? What changes stood out the most in the SDA effect? What changes were easily attributed to the swap of the IC?

When I began the mods on my SRS 1.2s, I moved my dreadnought to my 1Cs, and the overall clarity, definition, response and soundstage were improved. I was surprised, but I intend to leave this dreadnought with the 1Cs after I get the Avel Lindberg 1000VA transformer to build a new one for the SRSs.

I realize this is not strictly speaking a direct reply to your query, but if you are not using a dreadnought, I think you will be pleasantly surprised by building one and using it with your 1Cs in place of any able upgrade you might consider for the SDA interconnect.

If you haven't done it already, you might also consider replacing your stock tweeters with RD0194s. Again, this was a relatively simple mod that I greatly appreciated when I heard the difference in sonic performance.

I have used AQ type 4 with great results, I have been using MIT Shotgun 3's for about a year or so now with my Dreadnought and have not had any reason to try anything else at the moment..

I understand that people have their preferences. I just wonder if anyone has noticed tweakable differences based on different medium. Say the dreadnaught built with silver teflon wire or spun gold? Or possibly different gauges that might lend different widths of stage? There have been many studies and trials using different speaker wires I just wonder if the same effort has been applied to the SDA IC as well?

I would only guess but I am thinking it would be beneficial to use the same wire medium for the IC that is being used for the main speaker wires.

SDA1C, I apologize for my post above. Obviously, I grossly misread your initial question -- misreading "SDA IC" as "SDA 1C." Sorry for the distraction and useless comment.

I'm using the same MIT Exp 1 for my SDA and soon to be DreadNought interconnect as my Exp 1 speaker cables. It all matches.

    All equal length as well.
