Fracking Ebay, I'm done with them. I listed the thing, sold it within 12 hours with fixed price listing/best offer. Ebay took something like $37 in fees, plus they took another $2 in final value fees on the shipping cost (which was based on actual size/dimensions), and then the PayPal fees. Ended up with about $45 less than my selling price. When I went to ship it, the cost of shipping was almost $5 more than the Ebay calculator! Ebay/PayPal/UPS all point the finger at each other, and I'm just jipped on the shipping cost.

Now, the icing on the cake. The buyer receives it and immediately wants $55 back because he didn't realize it was originally a B-stock item (even though the photos showed the serial sticker which says "refurbished unit." Like that matters on a 5 year old receiver? He doesn't have any damage or issues to report, just seems to think that B-stock is not worth as much. Now he has filed a claim with Ebay. Who knows how they will decide, probably with the buyer since they just screw the seller every which way anymore. I am officially done with Ebay. I don't care if I have to give things away on local craigslist.

Sorry to hear that Bill. I have been over ebay for a few years now. I got screwed in a similar manner selling guitars. After the second time, that was it. Wish I had had the money for that AVR. I sure could use it now.
