The guy I am buying the oak speaker stands for my monitor 7's told me he also has a pair of Paradigm 5se MKII speakers he will sell for $50.

I have not seem them yet, but he says they are in good working order.

I have read that the older Paradigms were decent speakers

I do not even know what I would do with them to begin with.

But I guess you can never have enough speakers right

What are they worth?

Thanks

That should be a reasonably tall two way bookshelf. 8" woofer, 1" fabric tweeter. $50 sounds like a fair price for those...early '90s, maybe. I had a pair I got at a lower price but that was an unusual situation.

The main problem with those is that they are a little laid back up top and might need to be matched with something that's not too "warm" powering them?

Thats what I read about these speakers is the laid back highend and that wont work for home theater for me and trying to match a center to them.

I went and looked at them today and I passed anyway.

    Thanks
