I told myself I would not buy anymore speakers. But hey for $5 in very good shape, what can I say.

Well I can say that these little Realistic Minumus 7w speakers are pretty good for what they are.

Should sound nice with that vintage Yamaha! I run a set as my computer speakers, powered by a Realistic STA-700 (newer System 7) that was designed with special "equalization for Minimus speakers. The EQ (circuit) makes the 7s sound fuller and dig a little deeper. But that Yammie has a contour Loudness switch that can probably create a similar effect at lower volumes.

What Yamaha is that? CR-4X0, 6X0?

    Agree on good WAF.
I also have a pair of 7's in oak cabinet.
Very decent for that size, specially the tweeter as that is same size used in bigger bookshelf speakers.
I have them running off of Yamaha CR-800 along with Mission 700's (great great speakers).
They are decent upgrade from laptop speakers but can't compete with little bigger speakers though.

Subwoofers: Klipsch RW10, Triad ProSub Bronze.

They are a good sounding speaker especially for the size. Try them with a sub.
