Am I safe plugging my portable AC unit (10,000 btu) into my APC H15 power conditioner? I mean, it's plugged in now and working along with all my other devices plugged in to the H15 (computer, hard drives, etc.). When the AC compressor kicked in the line boost and the H15 turned on for a split second. Not sure what that was about or if that's a bad thing.

I wouldn't. The inrush of the compressor is prolly pushing the APC to it's max.

Agreed, I wouldnt do it. If your worried about blowing up you portable AC unit, just use a standard surge protector, or if you own get a whole home surge protector installed at your breaker box. That will not replace your need for the H15 for your audio gear, but it should help with everything else.

Agree with the above. Lets face it, the power conditioner probably cost more than the air conditioner, and besides has a 5 to 7 year shelf life.
