For sale a very nice Sansui G7700 receiver. This model was made 1980-82 and sold for $800 new. It features 120 watts per channel and a Quartz Lock tunning system with both a analog and digital display as well as LED power meters. Other features include, A/B speaker switching, subsonic and high filters, loudness control, -20 muting, FM muting, room for 2 tape decks with dubbing, 2phono inputs, aux input ,mic input with control. All the things one needs without being cluttered with the things you never use. it is a very sharp loooking unit. the sound is very clean and focused with good detail and just a touch of warmth.
This is one of the few big receivers that can deliver huge current into low impedence loads. and has lots of dynamic headroom. Stereo Review tested one of these in 1980
170 w/ch into 8 ohms at clipping
240 w/ch into 4 ohms at clipping
270 w/ch into 2 ohms at clipping
around 250 w/ch dynamic output into 8 ohms which is around 3.3db of headroom.
Ever feature works as it should and all lights and controls work. The cabinet is very nice with s light lifting of the vynil on the very bottom edges and when I say slight I mean slight. The faceplate and window are really nice and all controls have a nice feel. The original power cord has been repaired as I use a VH Audio detachable cord with my gear. Even the paper labels are still on the power cord and the AM antena and the red card is still under the phono 2 plugs.
A very nice 9 out of 10 receiver Asking $375 or BO Thanks,Keith

Nice looking unit, reminds me of the Pioneer Fluroscans of that period. I have an SX-3900, probably the Pioneer equivalent of the above in power terms. A very nice piece and the only high power unit I own. The 120 watt and up class silver faces (Sansui, Marantz, Pioneer, etc.) are all very sought after pieces that are hard to find at a "good" price. This price is more than reasonable unless you want to hit up ebay and watch a unit get bid up, up, up, till it's really not worth your time and effort anymore!
GLWTS!
