Need a 2 channel preamp to feed my 200 wpc rotel/transporter/totem forests. balanced would be great, but not necessary. no preference as to tube/SS. Thanks.

under 300, more if its something interesting. neutrality would be most important consideration. realistically though, i just need something to connect my transporter to my amp.Monitor Audio GR 60, GR10, GRLCR

If you are looking for balanced and only have one source, you could check this out: http://luminousaudio.com/axiom2/bal.html.

If you dont want it to color the sound too much u might consider a passive preamp.Main Rig:

The Luminous Axiom II is a great preamp (nothing better new for the money) and I have the RCA version right now. A good balanced preamp for $300 is a tall order, but somebody might chime in with something.
I recently went balanced for my preamp, and it cost me $1000 for a good one that I didn't feel had compromises. -
balanced is not a prerequisite. i would, however, like a remote. the axiom looks interesting, if not a bit prototypish looking.Monitor Audio GR 60, GR10, GRLCR

How about a carver c4000. No remote but great sound and incredible feature set.

I have an Arcam Alpha 9 pre for sale. It has a remote, and it's in the FM: http://www.polkaudio.com/forums/showthread.php?140092-2-Channel-System-Arcam-Parasound-and-Totem. I'd go $275 shipped.

Are you still looking for a pre, have a Parasound for 125.00

And I have a Rotel RSP-1068 for $300 shipped (It's a surround but is also a fantastic 2 channel)."Some people find it easier to be conceited rather than correct."

The Arcam is a solid deal. Kinda surprised it is still for sale. I would have snatched it up, but I am looking to streamline a bit.
