Picking up 2Bs tomorrow and am going to have to move things around a bit. After initial measuring, it looks like I wont be able to space the speaks much more than 5 ft apart. Seems kinda close for SDAs but then again my ears will only be about 9 to 10 ft away.

I have found the sda effect much better the further apart. Had mine about 5 feet then moved a few things around to get about 8 feet. I think they sound much better. Also about 12 inches from wall

It is TOO close, if you're 9-10 feet away from the SDAs THEY need to be 9-10 feet away from each other . . .

5 feet apart and 9 to 10 feet away is NOT ideal. It will still sound good, but not near as good as they deserve. And yes I have tried it myself.

Bummer. Ok, got it to 6 ft. Any more and the left speakers will be too close to the sidewall. And I am almost exactally 9 ft away.

Any chance one of the other walls is a possibility?

Unfortunately no. Have a giant sectional that will only fit one way. I will take pics when finished (if I can find my camera cord)

I think they will sound better if you position them in my front room. I will PM my addy so you can just drop them off on your way back north. Have a safe/fun drive.

Hey D, I thought you might have read. I bought a Onkyo sr805. At first I couldn't figure the receiver out, but now it is doing it's thing great, My SDA 2's are about 10 feet apart and a foot from the wall in my bedroom. Sounding great, but will be doing the tweeter upgrade this week.
