This is my first post here some please don't destroy me just yet...
I am putting together plans for a 2 Channel system that will be used in a very large rec room. I want to go with RTi A9's and bi-amp both speakers. I would also like to be able to run a Record Player, SACD, iPod, and Stream in Pandora as well. My budget for Pre-Amps, Amps, and the rest will be around $2000-$3000. I am certainly not opposed to using quality used products as well. My main questions here are what watts would you run for the lower and uppers on the RTi's and I am very interested in using Rotel amps and pre-amps and wonder if you can suggest other brands I should look at. I would also love any other info I may be forgetting here as well...
Thanks in advance for any info...

Bi-amping without using active crossovers is a waste of time and money. You're better off getting a really good stereo amp or mono blocks and using high quality jumpers on the binding posts.Political Correctness'.........defined

Why the RTi line? They are designed for theater, the Lsi line, particularly the LsiM are the 2-channel speaker.
Start with the speaker, then build the gear around the rig.

Welcome to Club Polk.
I think you should go with either LSIs or the LSIm for speakers. Keep in mind these are 4ohms speakers so the more power you give them the better they will sound. Rotel makes terrific gear, I will always have a Rotel piece in my system. Stalk www.audiogon.com for great deals on the electronics. You can also look at Sunfire, Parasound, B & K gear while you are there.

I would agree with F1. Bi-amping the speakers is pretty much a waste of money. Your choice of the RTi 9's, altho nothing wrong with them, there not as "accurate" for 2 channel stereo music as the LSi line. It would depend on what your end goal is for your large rec room.
