Getting some work done to enhance our extremely boring shower tub in the master bedroom. We had the standard 4x4" beige tiles and decided to have a concrete finish done over the tiles:

They spray a final satin finish on today, which will eliminate that shiney look, then Friday they come in to clean up.

That looks great and the price sounds very reasonable. Was there glass around the shower before or something else?
Thanks -
Glass enclosure; it's getting replaced as well with a nicer/thicker glass enclosure. The whole project will run us around $4200.Source: Bluesound Node 2i - Preamp/DAC: Benchmark DAC2 DX - Amp: Parasound Halo A21 - Speakers: MartinLogan Motion 60XTi - Shop Rig: Yamaha A-S501 Integrated - Shop Spkrs: Elac Debut 2.0 B5.2

Part 3. Satin coat is on, you'll notice the shiney look is gone. I got all the new hardware mounted. Now we wait for the new shower glass enclosure to be finished. It will be 5/8" trimless glass, with satin nickle hardware. The video makes it look too orange, must be the lighting.

Tony, it's some type on concrete finish that goes on in 2 layers, after they grind/rough up the surface of the tiles. It took 4, 4hour work days to do the concrete portion of the project (Canons custom creations--local), the glass enclosure (JIm's Glass and Mirror--local) took them a week to order/get in, and almost a full day to install. Since the glass guys had to wait to measure until the concrete work was done, about 2.5 weeks total.
The concrete finish can be laid on practicaly anything. Counter tops, pool deck, patio floors, firepace fronts, etc; he can even lay this right on top of laminate counter tops, to make them look like stone/tile.Source: Bluesound Node 2i - Preamp/DAC: Benchmark DAC2 DX - Amp: Parasound Halo A21 - Speakers: MartinLogan Motion 60XTi - Shop Rig: Yamaha A-S501 Integrated - Shop Spkrs: Elac Debut 2.0 B5.2 -
