I've had these ongoing problems w/ Cablevision for what seems like years now.Originally it was the delay in changing
stations. That was resolved by getting a new and improved table box.Now I have a severe depixalizing problem that is really annoying. All fittings and splitter were changed and my inside run around the living was proven to be fault, gnd,
short free. This leaves the outside feed, and to me I'm just not getting the proper signal.W/O going to a dish or
going to Vios is there any device to boost and clear this signal? All Cablevision is willing to do is send out tech after
tech w/ the same lame result.

Since I got 0 replies from you I had another problem.Going into my bdrm tv I turn it on and a message comes on and said I now a
box because they converted to an all digital signal which in turn needs a new box.I got the box and complain about the depililating probelm and said since the new boxes are made from Samsung I should also switch out my living rm box. Well it appears colors are way more intense ,they supplied all HDMI cables so none of my cords are being used and only time will tell if this new box will solve the
depixing problem. If they would have told me they went w/ an entirely different brand and electronics maybe this all could have
been avoided.I think this was interesting enough to garner a resone from you guys, but so be it.Read and learn,it might happen
to you if you use Cablevision.

Mainly because your posts are hard to decipher LW. For instance, no mention of the TV used, is it a HD set ? Is your cable box a HD one or just a digital one ? What cables are you using from the cable box to the tv/stereo ? Could be a conversion problem with the tv......depending on the TV, but we don't know that.

The brand of electronics doesn't make a difference, it's what it does or doesn't do that will. Was your TV just getting analog signal before ?

I switched to FIOS after having the same experience with Cable. I'll never go back.

I've had comcast and Uverse......they both suck. Comcast just slightly more.

What is it with cable companies that just make people want to jump off a bridge ?

For low signal problems, get a bi-directional amp. My cable modem was on the edge of not working
and the cable guys were too stupid to change the faceplate at the drop to the proper value.
Make sure it runs in both directions and is high bandwidth. Mine cost about $40.
I've since switched over to fios. Much better.

When I had cable, I had all kinds of problems too. They actually came out and ran a new line from the pole because they couldn't figure it out. Then I got a amp/splitter for the house. When that didn't work, they figured I was getting good signal, but they weren't getting one back - so they gave me a return line amp as well.

Then I went with Dish. Problem solved.

Reason being I used to show the my sig before in most of my posts.I never thought my tv had anything to do w/ any of these
problems ever. It's a Tosiba au 37'' 500 flat lcd h/d tv that always looked great and compared to the 22' Insignia in my bdrm ,well
there is no comparison. My only complaint of the tv is that it's a 37'' and not 42 or 50.No, it's not the tv I've tried every combo of cables and even went to component just to see if was the HDMI cables that were beat. No, this was Cablevision all the way and
now w/ their Samsung box I haven't seen miss pixey on any channel and changing stations which used to be a nightmare is now just a regular funtion. The cable box says it's in 1080p my avr is set to that also and all else is dialed in so blame is Cablevision for at the very least not sending out flyers telling concumers the old boxes are beat and all non box sets need the new box.For complete
disclosure I have a HDMI from cable box to tv>from tv to avr HDMIout to pick up on screen YAPO and an optical toslink from cable
box to av1 in the Yamaha for audio so I can watch a game and listen to tunes at the same time and it works fine.
