I just bought this slightly used Avel Lindberg 800VA from Drumminman her on the forum. I haven't used it yet and I am abandoning my Dreadnaught project for the time being.

$90 plus shipping

Paypal preferred. PM me.

Hey H9, sorry you won't get to try it out. I was looking forward to your impressions.

This is a good deal for those wanting to try out an AI-1 interface.

I just have some other priorities at the moment and it doesn't include building the AI-1 at the moment. If someone else can use it, then great if not, I'll probably let it sit.

    *BUMP*

Can't believe no one can use this. This is about $30 below retail and it's in like new condition. Drumminman barely used it and I haven't used it at all. It has all the original mounting hardware.

I jumped at this for this price.

This is the one everyone was using until the special order 1000VA, of which you can't get. This is the best one going for building the Dreadnaught isolation transformer besides the 1000VA which is not available.

Plug for Brock here. I have one of these, and while I am upgrading to the 1000VA, it's costing 3X the price that Brock is selling this for, and minimum purchase is 10 units. So unless you plan on organizing a group buy like I did, this is a great deal. I have not heard the 1000VA yet, so I can't speak to a difference between them, but what I can say is that I was very, very impressed at the difference the 800VA made over just using a straight cable (and I was using good speaker cable, not the stock connector). As many people have realized of late, the benefits of using the AI-1 design with a high quality transformer like this one are not limited to folks using non-common ground amps. A Dreadnought is providing a nice sonic enhancement for common ground amps as well, as many of us have discovered.

Frankly, Brock, I'm surprised that you're selling this. Building the Dreadnought is nothing more than four solder connections. So easy, even a dope like me can do it!

    Actually,

Neil for the time being this off the market.

I sort of jumped the gun by advertising this to coincide with Larry's sale of the cases, but in hind sight I should just keep this in the parts bin for possible future use.

Sorry, but this off the market

Good! Instead, buy one of Larry's cases and a set of 4 binding posts, and spend 15 minutes building the thing, and you'll be a happy camper. Well worth the effort if you already have the transformer.
