Well guys,

during my trip to oregon last week i could manage to get into a goodwill store and a thrift store and was able to get a couple of nice condition records and felt like sharing:

* phil collins but---seriously, very nice production and excelent condition, paid 1 buckaroo.
* peter frampton frampton comes alive, good condition double lp, very nice concert, paid 1 buck.
* santana abraxxas, very good and awsome music, paid 1 dollar.
* chuck mangione children of sanchez, sealed set, paid 1 dollar.
* genesis acabac, great condition, paid 2 bucks.
* queen the game, looks pretty good, paid 2 bucks.
* kenny g duotone, looks pretty new to me, paid 1 dollar.
* bill cosby is a very funny fellow...right, caught my attention, paid 2 bucks.
* disney snow white with color booklet, for my daughters made in 1969 and looks 8 out of 10, paid 2 bucks
* disney cinderella with color booklet, for my daughters made in 1969 and looks 8 out of 10, paid 1 buck.

In that thrift store they had a lot of beatles in excellent condition but i felt cheap and did not bought them, now i regret it. They look in very good condition and had a very nice selection for 10 bucks a pop.

What surprised me the most is not the selection but the condition of the records, i have never bought in a thrift store but the owner likes vinyl so i guess that is why he had a very nice selection in excellent shape, plaed a couple of records while i was there. Had a good time and wanted to share.

Regards,

eduardo

Amazing what you will find at the Goodwill, I found several box sets of light listening music (mainly sunday morning coffee or background music but the vinly and box sets were mint for only a couple of bucks.

lucky! None of the goodwill stores in my area have decent vinyl... One of then is signficantly better than the others, but still selection and condition are not good.... imagine what the others look like

Looks like you found some decent stuff, the last "great" vinyl find I had was

Steve Reich - Kronos Quartet / Pat Metheny ‎– Different Trains / Electric Counterpoint

The album is mint and sounds awesome! And I just got back from seeing the Kronos Quartet live for free!
2 Channel - Polk SDA-2BTL, Carver TFM-35, Peachtree iDAC, Qobuz streamed via Episode Lynk using bubble UPnP server

Sweet finds there. I've found some pretty decent vinyl in them over the years including a few that were sealed and never opened.

Lots of good stuff at Goodwill/Thrift stores. Most of the albums just need a good cleaning.

Same here. I hit the Muncie, Anderson, New Castle stores and never find anything either.

Frampton Comes Alive was literally in everybody's record collection, and is therefore usually in pretty bad shape. Was the best selling album of all time, for a very long time, for good reason. Abraxas is also a classic. Albums in excellent condition, not to mention sealed, for a buck is a nice score.

    Fun!
I just got into vinyle last december. I have collected maybe 25-30 LP records in a year and my collection is still growing. I buy most of my stuff from deepdiscount.com
( I have mostly newer music from the last ten-15 years )
Cant wait to have a collection that takes up the entire wall.
