Curious as to the thoughts of everyone on the SVS 2531pci. What would you be willing to pay provided its in decent condition?
Its obviously an older sub so trying to find out the value on the market.
Keep in mind I will be moving from a PSW125.

Thanks. Its listed at 300. How much of an improvement you think it will make compared to my PSW125? Right now I am running my LSi 15's as full range and my sub crossover is 80hz."....not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted." Man, those kinda words might get me in trouble..... wonder if he would go for a trade for a smaller sub"....not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted." William Bruce Cameron, Informal Sociology: A Casual Introduction to Sociological Thinking (1963) -

Love it. My 25-31 PC PLUS isn't going anywhere until I can swing an Ultra13... -
That'd be a huge upgrade, you won't regret it. I had a 16-46 for a while after running dual psw505's, I had no idea what bass was until I heard that SVS haha.

SVS subs can down right startle you, the one thing that strikes me with my PC12-NSD is its ability to make bass that you almost can't hear but sure can feel. Another big difference I noticed over my old Cerwin Vega sub - the SVS only makes bass when it is actually present in the soundtrack, meaning that the notes start/stop very fast, the old CV sub was always making bass because the driver is to slow.2-Channel System

Well I am gonna make some inquries and see if a possible trade can be worked out. Dont have any cash to do a straight up buy, but have some stuff thats gonna be easier to sell and ship than that so we will see.

If you end up purchasing that, I wanna hear it. That listing perked my curiosity but all of my audio buying is put on hold for a while or at least until I get settled into my new house.

Yeah, he's not really local to Indianapolis though, thats the somewhat annoying thing. Its 1.5 hours to where he is but it is what it is lol. Much closer than the other SVS subs I see for sale......
Hopefully I can get my items sold on local CL (not listing here since I cant really do a Polkie price and get what I need).
Or if it doesnt go quick maybe he will reconsider my offer.
If I get it trust me, you will know, and then hear"....not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted." William Bruce Cameron, Informal Sociology: A Casual Introduction to Sociological Thinking (1963) -

Well I took one step closer to using it..... I installed the program just now......
I promise I will have results for you, life has just been getting in the way. I've had my PC+ for something like 6 or 7 years. It ain't going anywhere. If the amps dies, I'll replace the amp or run an external amp. Gunshots have a whole new meaning after you add and svs.For rig details, see my profile. Nothing here anymore...

I think I've got your cell, but it's at home. I'm in a wonderful Quality Inn until next Friday, or even perhaps a third week. I'm in no mood to talk tonight, sulking because of the hotel life! Time for a b e e r.

I'd jump on that SVS if I were you. I've been searching on Indy Craigslist for the last week or so. Hope the weather is nice next week when I'm there.

Yup, at the end of the day it just wasnt meant to be, but thats ok, I got much more important things to worry about than this.
Just wanted to put the ending on the thread."....not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted." William Bruce Cameron, Informal Sociology: A Casual Introduction to Sociological Thinking (1963) -
You can build a clone of the sub for less money.
True, but not for 300 IMHO can you get the quality of the SVS."....not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted." William Bruce Cameron, Informal Sociology: A Casual Introduction to Sociological Thinking (1963) -

+100 -
BTW I have looked at building a clone of the SVS before and while not too difficult, getting the right driver for the job plus materials is right around 300 not including a amp."....not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted."
