What to do in Salem/Roanoke VA?

Hey all,
After two back to back vacations in three weeks, work thought it would be fun to call me my first day back and say 'Hey, how about another vacation, all expenses paid for two weeks in Salem, VA!'. Of course, I had to accept their generous offer. So, here I am.
Anybody have any recommendations? I've scouted out a bit on yelp, brought my fishing pole of course (NEVER travel without it!), a few disc golf discs, and Lilly. Any dog friendly advice would be great, shes already a little nervous about being in the hotel room so I'd like to take her somewhere to get some exercise. Looks like there are three hi fi stores that I'll stop into, one sells AudioQuest and I need a set of IC's so that's on the docket. TIA for any advice, cheers!
