Looking at a nice pair, curious what a fair price is?
Also, If you have heard both for HT, LS90 or RT55is ?
Either will be driven by Denon AVR 2808CI for HT only. Have SVS PB13 sub.
Thanks,

No opinions ?
For HT, which will sound better with my AVR.
I have the RT55is and there is a pair of LS90s local for $250 but I believe I can get them for less.Speakers: SDA-1C (most all the goodies)

I think for a fully functioning pair in nice shape $250 is well worth it. Never heard the 90's but I am pretty sure they'll blow the 55i's away.--Gary--

The LS-90 is arguably one of the best of what polk has produced. I have a friend with 4 of them and a center, sub, seperate amps and a preamp/procesor and it is one of the best HTs I've heard! Well worth $250 a pair.Vinyl, the final frontier...
Avantgarde horns, 300b tubes, thats the kinda crap I want... -
I paid $300 for mine with a 350 center PLUS all 3 c/o's were upgraded but I think that was a silly great deal.

Finally had time to roll the LS90s in where the RT55 were doing duty.

Good to see they are out of the closet! Let us know how they compare to the 55's. They look sweet in that set-up!! Let me know if you need any more help ridding the fridge of beer. LOLSRS 3.1TL

Sounds good Stubby. Very impressive bass from these. In HT they sound good but not quite up to the RT55. In 2 channel they slap the RT55s. I may have to move them to the office.Speakers: SDA-1C (most all the goodies)

That RT series is great and should blow away the LS90's for HT. The LS line is just a bit mellow for HT. If you end up liking the RT55's and are looking for an upgrade, you could consider my RT3000's and CS1000 for a full blown 5.2 setup.
The decision is very much a matter of personal taste. The RT5000 system is absolutely killer for home theater. The LS90's are likely to be a more musical speaker. The tradeoff is in how much you use your rig for HT vs music. After owning just about every RT series speaker from the 800's to the SRT's, I came to the conclusion that I was willing to trade a bit of the forward dynamics of the RT series for the musicality of the older series (in my case SDA's).
Either way, you'll have a killer sounding system.____________________________________________________________
