I am selling my Adcom GFP-750. I purchased this preamp in January 2010. It was used by me for a total of about one year during this time. The rest of the time it was either in storage or sitting on a shelf waiting to be reutilized. This is probably about as close as you are going to come to owning a new GFP-750. I am the second owner of this preamp and purchased it from a boutique audio dealer in California. He had taken it in on trade for some tube gear. He told me that the original owner purchased the unit new, placed it in his system, tried it out and then put it back in the box where it remained until he traded it in. When I received this preamp, the remote was still sealed in it's plastic bag and the plastic protective film was still covering the gold plate on the faceplate. I have never used the remote. I did remove it from it's plastic bag just to make sure that there weren't any batteries in it. There is one blemish/scratch on this unit. It is located just below the right side of the gold plate on the faceplate. I had a hard time capturing it with my camera.

And yes, this unit has the "blue" board.

I tried this preamp out a couple of days ago to make sure it worked properly. Just like the amp that I have for sale, I didn't remember it sounding that good before. This was probably due to the much higher quality power conditioning, interconnects, source equipment, etc. that I am now using.

The price is $850.00 (plus paypal fees if that is the chosen method of payment) plus shipping.

Shipping on this unit will probably be the same or a little less than the shipping cost of $25.00 that I paid for my JC-2 preamp.

Oh... For the want of $850.

This would look so sweet above my Gfa-555ii

John. You will like the GFP750. If you recall, that's what you heard your 1.2TL's on when you picked them up. Congrats.

Hi Jim, thanks. I'm really looking forward to adding this to my system. Speaking of the 1.2's, they survived the move from Texas in pristine condition. They still look as good as when you sold them to me and sound even better w/the XO upgrades and RDO replacements I did a while back. It's good to hear from you!

One of my next projects is to assemble the AI Dreadnaught. The cases are still boxed up from when I picked them up from you and I need to order the parts to complete the project. I believe, sonically, good things are going to happen to my system with the 750 and AI.

    Rick,

I really enjoy this pre. It's currently sitting in my 2 channel 1C rig and mated to a newly upgraded (Big Sky Audio) Parasound 1500A. Very neutral in bypass mode but I actually prefer it in active. Not sure if it has to do with the gain, but am very happy with the combination. Eventually, it will be added to my living room rig where it'll bypass the theater processor and feed the Sunfire 300/2 + 1.2tl's.

This is a bit late, and I apologize, but just want to provide feedback for everyone to see...

FEEDBACK: GFP-750 was double boxed and exactly as described. Rick provided great communication and was very easy to deal with. Do not hesitate to purchase from him.
