Hello, brgman. He does drink, although moderately these days. I just got back from an audio event with Bob and I can say with complete certainty that this was not signed by him. You don't need to be a professional handwriting expert to come to this conclusion either.

That's hilarious. Read the Q&A at the bottom of the ad.

    What a moron.

The only way that this cat could have "ordered" the amplifier this way [after the initial purchase] was to send it to Rita's Repair Shop for service [no longer in business] with a request to have Bob sign it. Otherwise, it came silk screened onto the original faceplate from the factory and the silk screened signature looks nothing like the chicken scratch this cat is promoting.

Moron about sums it up nicely.

That is absolutely hilarious. You have to give the guy credit for trying, even if his attempt was awful.

I asked him about that and the fact that the binding posts on the back do not look to be original either. He responded angrily about the signature being a fake and did not comment on the rest.

Busted RCA input is not a 9/10 condition, fake signature is only worth the rubbing alcohol to remove it, and at $302 reserve not met, not worth it...

I believe those are only ones he has signed personally since production. The original Signatures just had his name. I could be wrong though.

You are correct mostly. My sunfire Cin Grand just has Bob Carver while M1.5t and C4000 (model # could be wrong) he personalized and inscribed somethings for me. However, I asked just for his name on my M400t and all he put was Bob Carver. One thing that was all the same was the sig itself. Very consistent sig from a great in the bang for the buck audio world.
If life had more tubes it would be a lot smoother.

Ya I know I'm a year or so late,

but this reminds me of the seinfeld episode where George buys the car once owned by Jon Voight…. hilarious.

Too bad the original ebay listing is gone, I can't see the forged sig.
