Wood and cloth are about as right as could be hoped for.
A slight diff. in finish between the two, but it honestly shows up more with a flash pic than real life.
Recapped and checked out at audiolab of Ga. last year.
Not a thing wrong with them, I still love the sound, although a little bigger room would probably be more appropriate.
A few tiny spots on top of one where it looks as if something with sharp pointy feet had been placed on it, not scratches or scrapes, just a couple dots.
On same speaker top, in back, a small area of wood veneer is lifted a slight amount, again, only visible if you walk up and look for it.
Sound can be adjusted with three top controls as to outside drivers compensating for, say, one side being near a wall and the other not, so the reflected sound can be better matched.
There are also three screws at bottom of each speaker that, when i first got them, were turned all the way down, adjusting those has made these speakers blossom, along with the caps installed that were recommended by the dcm founder and lead engineer Steve Eberbach.
I love the sound, I have just moved on, they are now for sale to get some cash for new purchases and of course, interesting trades considered.
BTW, delivery within an hour from the N.C, Ga,Tenn., junction from our house in the N. georgia mountains is, is possible to help the buyer
That could put us in the Atlanta area, or N.C, Or S.C, Ga. border vicinity.

Nice speakers Scotty! I wish I was home right now to come take a look at these. I'm a big fan of the classic DCM Timeframes and Timewindows. GLWTS!

Nice speakers. DCM is responsible for getting me into this whole crazy pastime.
These are very nice and a "must hear" for those into hi-fi enthusiasts. VERY broad soundstage with good imaging when set up properly. I hope you got a chance to hear them in a much better position than the one shown in the picture. They are way too close together.
That ADCOM stack with TimeWindows is nearly identical to the system I had. It's like I'm looking into my audio past, but with different furniture.
Good luck with the sale scottyboy, these are great and work very well with tubes.design is where science and art break even. -
Thanks, actually, as far as spacing, We moved the couch and got a little more room, and now have them in the bedroom, thinking i might take them to a friends house to set them up properly, but i would have to drag the whole deal.humpty dumpty was pushed

GLWS Scotty. If I had the cash I'd take em. I liked the sound before you upgraded the caps and am sure they sound even better now. Scott's a great polkie to deal with and hope they find a great home.2-ch System: Parasound P/LD 2000 pre, Parasound HCA-1000 amp, Parasound T/DQ Tuner, Phase Technology PC-100 Tower speakers, Technics SL-1600 Turntable, Denon 2910 SACD/CD player, Peachtree DAC iT and X1asynchorus USB converter, HSU VTF-3 subwoofer.

Yeah I wish you and I lived closer as well! I still think about those Infinity's when I see your FS ads! lol I also wish I had bought those TW3's at Agora in Athens when I had the chance and cash. Didn't know anything about them at the time though.--Gary--
Onkyo Integra M504, Bottlehead Foreplay III, Denon SACD, Thiel CS2.3, NHT VT-2, VT-3 and Evolution T6, Infinity RSIIIa, SDA1C and a few dozen other speakers around the house I change in and out. -
Sale pending nxt week on the 3s, but i have a rough looking, but perfect performing and complete set of time windows originals i will take 125 bucks for.
We had a leak in the second bathroom shower, now have to come up with about 1000 bucks for a new fiberglass shower and install or i would never get rid of the originals for what they will bring.

Scottyboy 76 ,I 've recently have come across these speakers both the Time Frame thin bodied 150s,350s and so on and then came across the more cyntrical Time windows. I asked the forum if they knew much about these speakers and the ones that did love them and the ones that had no opinion refered me to you.Seeing you are the grand bubba of DCM how would you rate these against lets
say Ohm/walsh 2s or Vandersteen 2ce. Keep in mind I'm talking used and if you've seen my speaker group I really do not have a solid go to speaker. My wish list would also include Heritage Klipsch like KLF30S w/ my rm being 18' x15'. Power is no problem I have an Adcom gfa555 so I can push just about any thing out there.I do prefer the Time windows and there seems to be a grill fading problem w/ the TFs if near any sun source. So are these something to go after or only if the right price comes up....2chl- Adcom GFA- 555-Onkyo P-3150v pre/amp- JVC-QL-A200 tt- Denon 1940 ci cdp- Adcom GFS-6 -Modded '87 SDA 2Bs - Dynamat Ext.- BH-5- X-Overs VR-3, RDO-194 tweeters, Larry's Rings, Speakon/Neutrik I/C- Cherry stain tops Advent Maestros,Ohm model E
H/T- Toshiba au40" flat- Yamaha RX- V665 avr- YSD-11 Dock- I-Pod- Klipsch #400HD Speaker set-
Bdrm- Nikko 6065 receiver- JBL -G-200s--Pioneer 305 headphones--Sony CE375-5 disc -
Im sorry, i cant compare them to the ohm walsh or vandys, as i have never heard them.
What i will say is, if you can get the higher no. time frames relatively cheap, or any of the time windows,do it.
Doubt they will be your last speaker, but a very fun stop along your audio journey.
I have some tf400s that will be staying even after the windows are gone, mainly for ht fronts.humpty dumpty was pushed
