I wear a onesy,Teiz Lombard and Held gloves.
The 300 should be a fun.
Riding slow bikes fast is a lot more fun than riding fast bikes slow.

It's a very 'no frills' jacket. Most likely it will be very cold riding in this jacket very soon. And remember that nothing is better for crashing (abrasion) than leather.

I am not really sure what would make the better jacket. I saw it had the armour and good reviews, so I figured it should be a good one.
I am open to any ones you want to select out?

If you do get it, grab the back protector with it

I am picking it up "used" they wore it once, didn't fit.
They do not have the back protector I just asked.
The back protector is about $30 from the website that no longer has the jacket.
Are there any other options that someone would like to recommend, or that they know is a quality jacket from experience?

My opinion is obviously biased, but check this one out:

In addition to a bunch of safety features, it has good ventilation and extra layer (liner) inside. I'm not a velcro fan, would rather have zippers, so that's a minor negative.

But you're on the right track. If you're willing to go a used route, you can score a really good almost new jacket or pants for like 1/3 of the actual price. I just bought a decent pair of perforated leather Teknic pants for 80 bucks. Not the greatest deal, but in Canada those retailed for 180+tax or more.

I do like the Scopion jacket.
He is offering me a helmet and the jacket for $140 shipped. The helmet needs a new clip for the visor.

He is offering the jacket at $80 plus shipping. I am sure if I offered $90 shipped he'd take it though.

I'm very weary of buying used helmets. I think the jacket is fine, just pick up the back protector that fits in it.

What Cody said. Do not buy a used helmet. If you're on a budget, you can always find a decent DOT-approved brand new helmet from a cheaper brand - HJC, Zox, etc.

Also, it's the end of the season anyway. I'm sure you can find something better and local. I'd be vary about buying any gear without trying it on first. It may be your favorite color and "your" size, but you might hate it when you'll try it on.

I will have to do some local research I guess then. I am not really fond of the jacket as much as I thought.
I think I will have to see if I have any shops that support the street bike community, thought the ones I know of are strictly harley.
