I have been trying to expand my music experince and I have stumbled onto two Artists that have just blown me away. The kind that make you want to go and fork out more cash for new audio equipment. Florence & the Machine and Lana Del Rey.
Anyone else checked out there music?

Yup, good stuff!"....not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted." William Bruce Cameron, Informal Sociology: A Casual Introduction to Sociological Thinking (1963)

Cerimonials by Florence and the Machine is one of the best albums ever. I've played that cd so much, I think I need to buy a 2nd copy.

It makes wonder what else am I missing?? I hate the poppy, overmarketed, no talent, autotuned crap thats constanly on the radio. When i found this stuff this weekend, I said " thank god, theres hope". Maybe I wont be such a HT guy lol.Living Room

If you wish to step back into time, Kings of Leon "Only by the Night" is another really good cd.

Sounds like you like baroque pop. Luckily for you it has been in a revival the last 5+ years. Check out some of the groups listed here under recent groups: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_baroque_pop_artists.
A few of the highlights for me are Arcade Fire, Bon Iver, Fleet Foxes, Regina Spektor, The National, and Vampire Weekend. Some of the other bands have made some great albums as well. -
I didn't realize there was a name for the genre.
I like some of those artists, but gotta be in the right mood. I own Arcade Fire's album on cd and is good, but like I said...gotta be in the right mood.2 ChannelTurntable - VPI Classic 2/Ortofon 2M BlueAmplification - Rogue Audio Cronus Magnum II, Parks Audio Budgie PhonoSpeakers - GoldenEar Triton 17.2 Home TheaterDenon AVR-X3300W; Rotel RMB-1066; Klipsch RP-280F's, Klipsch RP-450C, Polk FXi3's, Polk RC60i; Dual SVS PB 2000's; BenQ HT2050; Elite Screens 120"Man CaveTurntable - Pro-Ject 2.9 Wood/Grado GoldAmplification - Dared SL2000a, McCormack DNA 0.5 DeluxeCD: Cambridge AudioSpeakers - Wharfedale Linton 85th Anniversary; LSiM 703; SDA 2A -
Black keys, "thickfreakness"...
I've heard a bit of Florence, but I have not really dived too deep. -

Black Keys are great.
I actually saw them last year and Florence opened for them. Not necessarily a huge fan of hers, but she was certainly impressive live.2 ChannelTurntable - VPI Classic 2/Ortofon 2M BlueAmplification - Rogue Audio Cronus Magnum II, Parks Audio Budgie PhonoSpeakers - GoldenEar Triton 17.2 Home TheaterDenon AVR-X3300W; Rotel RMB-1066; Klipsch RP-280F's, Klipsch RP-450C, Polk FXi3's, Polk RC60i; Dual SVS PB 2000's; BenQ HT2050; Elite Screens 120"Man CaveTurntable - Pro-Ject 2.9 Wood/Grado GoldAmplification - Dared SL2000a, McCormack DNA 0.5 DeluxeCD: Cambridge AudioSpeakers - Wharfedale Linton 85th Anniversary; LSiM 703; SDA 2A
