Any RC cola fans?

The other thread about RC fans took me down memory lane thinking about RC cola. I used to collect the blue cans with MLB player bios on them. Anyone remember those? Anyway, haven't had an RC in years and I assume they are no longer being produced.

Yes sir I remember; Mom use to buy that brand because it was cheaper than coke. We complained but we drank it anyway.

Not sure about the MLB cans, but I do still drink RC on a regular basis. Great stuff! It's almost like it's a generic now days - I'd say 1 out of 5 of my friends has ever tried it.

    No longer around? Guess again!

    http://www.rccolainternational.com/

Alive and well and gone International! I remember it, and still see it depending on where I am in the U.S.!

I know this won't make sense to most of you. But a friend of mine and I bought a can and gave it to a colleague who we thought needed a "Reality Check". Thus renaming it Reality Check Cola! The person in question has NO idea what was going on!

As I got older my taste in sodas has changed. now I like Dr.Pepper most of the time and when I want a cola I get a Fentiman's Curiosity Cola.

Only a fan of RC if it accompanies a Moon Pie.

Or if it's in a bottle and has salt peanuts added in.

I've been surprised at the number of restaurants that have it. Ask for a Coke and they will ask if a RC is ok.. I'm talking the smaller mom and pop type of places, along with a fair number of bars. Goes good with a greasy bacon burger and fries.

That's the only cola my mother-in-law buys when I visit. I agree, it tastes like a flat coke.

Available in Austin but not in Dallas??? Maybe I need to look for it specifically instead of just assuming it's no longer around since I haven't noticed it. I don't remember it tasting like a flat Coke, but when I was kid I couldn't tell the difference between Coke and Dr. Pepper so what do I know. I always did like a soda with peanuts. That's another thing I haven't has in years though.

Available in Houston, too. Visit a Kroger and you'll see plenty of RC Cola.
