Questions on SDA 1C

OK..since i pulled out my old SDA 1C's.....and have got back into the SDA sound. I'm loveing it...BUT the SL2000 tweeters...well not so much. They seem to be to bright...maybe a little brittle...but then again there 25 year speakers. Is that standard for these speakers? Just a tad bright?


I get the feeling these should be replaced with the RDO stuff. The SL2000 stuff is not killing me, i'm not saying they make your ears blead or anything..there just not..that great.


Is that the correct "assumtion" on these..and need to be replaced??

    Go with the RDO's as I'm sure you have read hundreds of times here, they are much, much better than the sl2000's.

    Just get it done and don't contemplate too long. You are wasting valueable listening time.

    just get the new RD0 and be done with it. when I got my 1Cs, 1 tweeter was dead. I could get 1 SL2000 for like $20 cheap , or $200 for 4 new RD0. I guess you already know what I did. Sl2000 is very good for rap,hiphop music though.

    Yeah i figured that.... what can you expect from 25 year old tweeters that were not great in the first place.

    The wife on the other hand is like..what are you out of your mind...you have speakers sitting all over the place...LOL

    So it will take a few months..like 2 tweeters per month...so thats were it's at.
