worth of dust covers

You know me by now thinking of obscure stuff to yap about.Just about every ad for used speakers say, in perfect
condition except for a pushed in dust cover or two. Now,unless you have a spouse, boy/girlfriend whom argument
ensues the dust cover winds up pushed in. ME I don't buy, it if your going to get back at someone your not going to
push a dust cover, your going to kick the sh-t out of the speaker .So why do these little things wind up getting
mushed and besides being ungainly looking are there any true audible negative affects. Then, is there a definative
way to fix this w/o removing the whole cap and regluing.I've been lucky so far as all my speaker work has been
limited to foam surrounds and thankfully nothing else.
