Just picked this up on Saturday: http://www.kyosho.com/eng/products/rc/detail.html?product_id=108352

Seems like a pretty nice entry level piece of gear! I hope to god I don't get too addicted though, I have a way of spending way too much money on hobbies.

Here's a video of it in action: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pDHuSeTo5lo

I've got a Traxxas Mini E-Revo VXL that's awesome... unfortunately it's tore down right now and I haven't found the time to rebuild it :(

Do RC heli's count? I have about 6 of them. I also have an old Tamiya stadium blitzer, but that rarely gets used.

Helis absolutely count! In fact, I actually prefer those, but didn't want to dive in quite that far just yet. I've only flown some of the ~$100 entry level E-Flite models and it was pretty awesome. Would love to get into some of the bigger outdoor helis!

Most of mine are that same level, micro series helis for indoor use. I rarely take them outside since a slight gust of wind can take them away. I considered getting into the 450-700 series range, but that's quite a price jump.

I thought you were talking about RC cola. Haven't had one of those in years. I'll start a new thread so as not to thread-jack.

Have a RC heli and RC Blue Angel Jet. Both are cool toys, but the jet was crashed some time ago and is beyond repair. A very expensive toy that lasted about two weeks due to my inexperience.

    Cars & Copters.

cars = easy to drive and cheap to fix after a crash.

copters = require lots and lots of practice and you WILL CRASH. Expensively.
better to learn with a cheap co-ax and on a simulator.

Been a long time since I've broken out the R/C stuff. Two planes, two cars and a boat. Still have my original T.A. RC-10 car from way back in the day...

Guess I could fire up the nitro car and bug the hell out of my neighbors.. *grin*

Have a Traxxas Stampede and A traxxas Rustler. The stampede is fun and my rustler is stoopid fast. Be prepared to spend money, they can be as expensive as this other hobby we all share.

The Traxxas stuff looks pretty sweet. Bigger tires & higher ride hide seems like it means it's a lot more versatile.

All depends on what you get. My rustler sits about a hand thickness off the ground and the diameter of the tires is only 4 inches. That said, it can go more places than you would think as long as i don't high center the rear. It will also jump off a ten foot tall gravel pile at 25+ mph land on all 4 and do it again. I have had it up to around 50, but the electronics runs too hot for my liking geared to run that fast. At those speeds I can hit a tree root that sticks out of the ground about 6 inches and get 7+ feet of air.

The baja is huge it is a 1/5 scale. It is 36" long 18" wide and weights about 28lbs (stock weight). Mine is a little heavier due to the extra billit parts that I have put on.

I like the Savage with the general Lee body on it, that's just me though. My next will not be a Traxxas, but will be 4wd. I'm also thinking of taking one of my parts rustlers(3 of them all together, 2 are in pieces) and making it a 1/5 scale buggy or sct. Anyone here a member of URC? I am with the same user name.

Nice. My grandpa few airplanes. I give him credit to getting me in to the RC's. I just happen to like dirt better than the sky.

Is it going to be nitro or brushless?

Thanks Brushless. This is just a little park flyer. It's supposed to be an easy to fly trainer. We'll see.

Have you seen the Suspension Conversion that HPI offers. It is kind of pricy but it makes it handle really well. You can only run one front shock though. I chose to just swap over to 4 flux big bore's instead of running single shocks on the front and duals on the rear.
