The manual for my 60" Viera recommends Panasonic part # TY-WK5P1RW
Anyone have any other suggestions?

I bought a Peerless from Amazon for a very decent price, try there, or costco, etc. There's a WIDE range of prices for those things ! (make sure you attach to the wall studs !)

Thanks GDB.
Just bought this one based on the customer reviews on Amazon -

Damn good price for one with such a large capacity !

Monoprice, I've used dozens of theirs and their hdmi cables(high speed). On 60" or smaller I can't tell the difference between cables costing 10 times as much.
-
I've got a cheetah and a peerless I think, both we ~$30 shipped from amazon, and I've been happy with both.

Anyone have any other suggestions?
Monoprice every day, and twice on Sundays.
So... Monoprice (it's Sunday). Just make sure it is designed to support the weight of your TV and that the mounting-hole pattern will mate with your TV.

I have 3 Cheetah mounts in the house. No complaints about any of them, price or performance. The one on the 60" plasma even extends out from the wall 14" and swivels and there has never been an issue with it.

Wow' that's a lot of torque at 14".
I considered that mount but figured the 60" would be way too heavy.
How many degrees up and down does it swing?“Anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that 'my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.'”

It doesn't tilt very far. I had to go look up the specs and they say 15?. I was guessing around 10?.
It's rated for 165 lbs and the 60" Panasonic is well below that. Here is a link for the mount:
Cheetah - APDAM2B
Another thing I really liked about it is the nylock nuts on the swivel. You can adjust the tension of how easy you can pull it out or push it back should you need too. I mainly got this mount because my viewing distance is about at the max the 3D glasses are rated for. I figured this way I could keep the furniture where it is and just move the TV out a foot should I need too.
I would share pictures of the mount, but I still have wires dangling. I need to get the Datacomm Wall Plate mounted so all the wires will be hidden. Then I'll update the images in the show case. It's just another thing on the project list. Once it gets cold outside, I'm sure it will make it to the top of the list.

I just hang a LG 65" using the Cheetah - APDAM2B above. Amazon has it for $69.99 (http://www.amazon.com/Cheetah-Articulating-Bracket-Displays-Ethernet/dp/B000WL6YY8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1347933947&sr=8-1&keywords=APDAM2B)
It works well as long as (in my opinion) that you don't stretch it all the way out. It is heavy and you need two people to install it properly. I just need to extend about 10" from the wall so that it can be swiveled sideways by about 15 degrees. FYI, I installed it above the fireplace, attached it to the studs. Btw, no sag at 10" and it is pretty stiff (i.e. not easy to extend the arms).I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie. -
