Hi. I have a marantz 2285b. Been using "white van" dynamic audio 1901 speakers.(hard times) Paid $40. at a second hand store years back. Didn't know what they were. In my price range at the time, and sounded good in the store. Got em home and they actually sounded awesome with my marantz. Times are a little better and i would like to upgrade from the white van specials. Can anyone tell me what the best reasonably priced speakers would be for my vintage marantz?
Going in a 12'x13.5' room. Playing rock, blues, & jazz. Thanks!

I second the Magico S3's! Great speakers for the budget minded audiophile using vintage Marantz stuff
    Gustard X26 Pro DAC
Belles 21A Pre modded with Mundorf Supreme caps
B&K M200 Sonata monoblocks refreshed and upgraded
    Polk SDA 1C's modded / 1000Va Dreadnaught
Wireworld Silver Eclipse IC's and speaker cables
Harman Kardon T65C w/Grado Gold. (Don't laugh. It sounds great!)

I've got a box of Trojan Ribbed.

What type of broad should I be looking for?

Obviously I'm not the only one that is in desperate need of a life beyond the keybored. Summertime can't get here fast enough.
