I posted this question in the "Speakers" section, but thought maybe here would get some response? I currently have the RT2000i's as my main speakers, and found a set of SDA 2B's in mint shape that I plan to pick up this week. Question is, will I hear a big difference between the two, and will the SDA 2B's be better than the RT2000i's for my main speakers in the living room?? Hope someone here can shed some light on the subject.

To ask such a delicate (maybe even Dumb) question. So, and for what it's worth, I am making the trip to listen and more than likely pick up a pair of the SDA 2 B's and will do the side by side comparison and report back for anyone else that may find themselves in this situation. Stay tuned people!!:loneranger:

I have 2000p's and 2b's. Totally different animals. The 2b's are great, but won't blend all that great with your HT. If it were me I'd use them for 2 channel and keep the RT's for HT duty.

Yes, the SDA's are great for the music and will be in the bedroom. The RT2000i's are staying where they are. Only way to find out was to bring them home. Meeting another member (Fav) was so cool. What a sweetheart of a human being and I hope he makes his way to my home someday!! Now we all know where another mint pair of SDA 2B's live.

I do too. and the SDA 2B's are in a class all by themselves. The SDA 2B's were something I decided to own due to the history as well as the seller was a class act and coming from him, I knew I would have fond memories of these babies every time i listened to them. That and the SDA's let the music breathe more so than the RT's. for HT it's the 2000i's all the way...at least in my living room.

    the SDA 2B's are in a class all by themselves . . . I couldn't agree more

These were my first ever Big Boy speakers. I still have them and they still ROCK, albeit, worn and needing TLC, like their owner. Re-build them, my frind, and you will be a very happy man . . .
