There is a pair for sale about 3 miles from me that I am going to try and get my ears on this afternoon. Does anybody have information or experience with Acoustat in general. What should I be looking for/listening for, and what would be a fair price for these?

I've never heard any acoustats - my brother says a friend of his (in oklahoma) has a pair they sound "fine". especially for vocals and accoustic music.

Let us know what you think once you lay your ears on them (and take pics if its not a restricted area).

Did you get to listen to these yet? I'm curious because I have a pair of Model 3's that need some work and I'm trying to decide if I want to get the work done or not. The Model 6's are pretty hard to come by and are usually $1000 to $2000 from what I've seen. Let us know.

What kind of amps to drive those big boys? Not many homes can accommodate those speakers. Must be for auditoriums???

The room is 21x30 x13 and is dedicated to 2 channel audio only.

The amplifier is a modified Plinius SA-250 MK1V modified to a Reference.
