...during Olympics my HDTV died. Needed one quickly. Ordered below for $175.00 delivered. It came in 2 days. Ad said it was lightly used. The one I got looked new in box, still had plastic on frame that I needed to peel off. Set it up in no time. Turned it on and it worked like a charm. After tuning in Olympics...I sat back and broke out the remote. Bummer...remote was dead. Called their customer service expecting a real hassle. What happened shocked me. I was instantly transferred to a real LIVE English speaking person who apologized and offered a $40.00 refund to buy an upgraded programmable remote from Vizio. I was speechless. So much so that I ordered a second one for a friend. That one had NO problems. From this experience I would highly recommend Secondipity. It has been 2 months and tv is working flawlessly.

That's a great price! Also surprised to hear about CS because Vizio has received a lot of negatives for their LACK of good or even "any" customer service.
But it sounds like you were NOT dealing with Vizio, directly?

...You are correct. I dealt with Secondipity customer service. They are headquartered in DC. I had to pay tax on purchase - $10.00, but tv was on sale for $165.00 at the time (free delivery). Still the best customer service ever...refund was in 24 hours. At this price tv's are disposable items.

I am glad the $40 credit made you happy and I am sure it was a smart business decision for them. They'd would have lost more on the return shipping and new refurb process. Along with the new remote or lower sale price w/o a remote.
I am going to take a peek at the site due to your recommendation.
